Wednesday Night Programming

On Wednesdays at CLC you will see a lot of hustle and bustle. We have two choirs for our children and youth and corresponding faith based groups to complement choir time. You can read more about them below.

Angelicus Choir

5:30 p.m. Wednesdays (kindergarten through 4th grade)

Gloria Choir

6:15 p.m. Wednesdays (5th through 8th grade)

The children learn introits, processional hymns, anthems and benedictions, all in the cathedral style.  Rehearsals are fast paced and energetic.  The children look forward to their role of participation in worship once a month, and they form friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Karli Anderson directs our Angelicus and Gloria Choirs! Karli, a native Californian, moved to Texas to pursue her graduate studies in choral conducting at UTSA. She received her undergraduate degree in musical studies with a concentration in choral conducting from Oberlin College in Ohio where she also served as Assistant Conductor for the Women’s Chorale. For the last four summers, Karli has worked at the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp for 3rd graders through high schoolers. She has participated in a variety of choirs and ensembles and grew up helping to lead music in her home church. We are blessed to have her working with our children and youth!

Faith Formation Groups!

The Spark: For kindergarten through 4th grade. We will meet right after Angelicus Choir in the Children’s Chapel at 6:15- 7:00 p.m. We will hear a story from the Bible and have lots of fun activities planned each Wednesday night. You won’t want to miss out on this fun time of fellowship with your peers!

The Outlet: For 5th through 8th grade. We will meet upstairs in the Senior High room at 5:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. We will have group conversations centered around the Bible; followed by games and other fun activities. Super fun fellowship time! This age group is encouraged to then attend Gloria Choir rehearsal following The Outlet.

Our Director of Faith Formation, Carrie Jowers, leads both of these groups.
